Municipal lifeln that area.
The reason I am soliciting your suPport in this election is that

Ray. B. Robinson
Some of the statements referred' to-iir-The-Windtor-Star-rela
to the upper class school system in Sandwich 'East, about which Mr.
Robinson claimed information had been held back for four months.
The 'question arose, he alleged, over permitting .8th grade pupils in
Separateschopls to attentfAy,indsot“high.schools instead of keeping
them in the separate schobls-uadi they had passed the 9th and 10th
grades but public school ratepayerLwere asked to paythe bills. As
a member of the Sandwich East Township Council Mr. Robinson
was attacked "for allowing a cheque. ior115 to be issued, without
consulting. the Council, to a family of 8 that had applied for relief and
- needed the money .when that family, was receiving a. measly allow-
ance of $10•4 week from one of the citys plants" Mr. Robinsonts
reply waIi- "that if the "members wanted to make an issue of the
matter he would pay the $15 back out of .his own pocket?'
The- Windsor paper reported that Mr. .Robinson was largely
instrumental in organizing relief for deserving people -in Sandwich
East Township. • : 48
