A quiet wedding took place ort ° Sat-
lirday, November 10th, at1.30 o'clock,
when Daisy Birdiiaa Kennedy, daugh-
ter of• Mrs. Kennedy and the late John
Kennedy • of Lucknow,,;was united in.
marriage to ,Gordon Irwin of Goderich.
.Rey. U. IZ. Turnbull performed the
ceremony at the parsonage of North.
street United church. The bride looked
charming in powdera blue two-piece
wool suit with rown accessories and
a corsage of Sweetheart roses: The
matron of honor,, Mrs. Robt. McCabe,
wore a dress of wool 'turquoise blue
with black accessories and a , corsage
of Talisman roses. The best nthn was
Robt. McCabe. The groom's gift to
the bride was a yellow gold wrist-
watch and to the matron of honor a
gold -leaf necklace. After the ceremony
a dinner was served to friends and
relatives' of the bride and -groom .,,at
Redford. Hotel. The bride's table
was decorated in a pink and white color
scheme -'and was centered • with the
bride's three-tier wedding cake, Amidst
sho:vers of rice and confetti the happy
couple lett by motor for ,a honeymoon

was the `scene 'of a pretty wedding on,
Tuesday, when Beatrice May, daughter
of °111x. and Mrs. William Golem, 478
Victoria street, S., London, became the
bride of Joseph Henry Graham of
Goderich,,, son of Arthur Graham of
Clinton and the late Mrs. Graffham.
Rites were performed by .Major -. A.
Crowe, Miss Eva Nester, Toronto,
gowned 'in floor -length bridal pink
played the wedding-marcli4 and sang a
solo, accompanied by Norman Dockeray.
The bride, given in -marriage by her
father, ' wore a floor -length ivory •satin:
gown, enhanced with a six -strand pearl
necklace. Her full-length scalloped
veil, was caught by a sequin -trimmed
Sweetheart headdress and. she carried
a cascade of red roses. Mrs. William
Udell, Sister of the Bride, was matron
of •honor.. ,o,,, ie wore a floor -length frock
of ice blue `'satin, -designed with" a
sweetheart neckline and short scalloped
sleeves, and carried a .semi -cascade of
pink roses. " The bridesmaids were

Toronto, the bride changed to a navy.

The death ,of Miss Louisa Stirling,
a' native. of Goderich township, oc*.
rcurred on -Saturday night at Eginond:
vibe, after a long illness. Miss Stir-
ling was in her eighty-fifth year. She
was a daughter of the late 'David and
Elizabeth Coutts Stirling°and for fifty
years was a dressmaker in •"Buffalo.
For the past two years she had resided
at Egmondville. Surviving are It -bro-
ther, William, of Goderioh, . and two
"sisters, Mrs. Annie Campbell, of Ash-
field,
shfield, and Mrs. George Fulford, of
Colborne township.
The funeral was held from the
Brophey funeral home on Tuesday
afternoon, the service being. conducted
by Rev. R. H. Williams, of the Pres-
byterian church,: Seaforth, assisted by.
Rev. Richard Stewart.
NIRS. W. E. KELLY
News of the death of Mrs. Walter E.
Kelly at London on Sunday afternoon
was neeeived in Goderich ''with sincere
regret , by : her many friends here.
Formerly Aliss, _Isabelle Wilson,. Mrs.
Kelly was born in New York, but spent
most of her life in Goderich with her
uncle, the late Peter Adamson, clerk
of Huron County, and her aunt, Mrs.
Adamson. She received hero education
in the schools here, and was married
to Mr: Walter E. Kelly in 1906, and
since. 1918 had resided in London,
where her husband was • the superin-
.teudent of the Children's- Aid „Society.
A lifelong Presbyterian, Mrs. I e1ly
was 'during her residence -in Goderich
an active _ member of Knot church,
was the beloved organizer of t ''e 4.rthur
Circle, a member; of the. W.M.S., and
a teacher in the Sunday. school. She
was ne of the early secretaries of the
A.hmeek Chapter, • I.O.D.E., and was
deeply . interested in welfare work.
11er husband, successively jeweller,
Ford car dealer and police magistrate
during his residence in, Goderich, pre-
deceased her three years: Mrs. Kelly
was in her seventy-ninth year. Sur-
vfving,are a sister, Miss ,Jean Wilson•,
and a nephew, Mr. Donald Gardener,
of New York, ,and• _a cousin, Miss
Jennie Manson, of Bayfield.
The remains were brought to Gode-
rich. and were ,were
in Maitland
cemetery on Tuesday afternoon after a
service at the Brophey funeral home
eond'ucted by-Itev. Riehard Stewart
and attended by members of the various
organizations •with which Mrs. Kelly
was prominently associated while re-
siding. here. The pallbearers were
J. Mf cEwan, Gordon Bisset, A. D.
McLean and C. K. Saunders. _
MRS. DAVID MILLION
After an illness of more_ than • five
months' duration, Mrs. David 'Million,
St. David's street,' passed away in
Victoria, Hospital, London, on Satur-
day morning, in her forty:seventh year.
Formerly Laura Isabelle Graham, she
was born in Halifax, N.S., and went
with her 'parents,_ Mr. and Mrs: Ken-
neth Graham, to Vancouver.ahe re-
sided in Maple Creek, Sask., -for .twenty-
nine years, and forsix years in Gode
rich and. Colborne townships before,
coming last May to Goderich, where
her . husband• has been employed with
the Goderich"' Manufacturing` Co. She
was an adherent of the United Church.
Surviving, besides her husband : and
her father, . are. the following children
Mrs. Henry Bur, of Duchess, Alberta ;
Mrs. Albert Wolff, • Goderich; . Mrs.
Richard Shelton, :Goderich township;
Marjorie and 'Gwendolyn, at home;
Norman Million, Calgary ; Thomas,
overseas ; William, at home ; David, at
Vancouver, and Benson, of Duchess;,
,also by a sister, 'Mrs. J. C. Connolly,
bf Vancouver, Wash., and a brother,
LeslieGraham, of Portland, Ore., and
four grandchildren.
.The funeralservice, held at the
Brophey , funeral .home'.' on Monday
afternoon:,; was conducted by Rev,
Richard Stewa;rt,� of Knot"church. In-
terment was ins 'Colborne cen ietery.
The., palibearrers ' Were Gordon Reis,
Cecil Ryan, Ted Cook, 'iV illiam Black,
of Goderich, William IHaggitt of
Auburn, and Harry Powell, of Goderich
township., The flower -bearers were
Raymond Hamilton; of Luckfiow, Clap-
ton: and Duncan i►Iilllon, of Colborne
'township, Norman- Baird, of Bruce -
field, Benson' Horton, of Saltford, And
Albert W'o`itf, of Goderich. Among the
doral tributes were those from the
members of Union Local 2622 and .elle
Goderich Organ Co.' , Interment was in
