Conicil Secures 'the to MacKay Hall resent Board. of Trustees to 13e Abolished and Council . to 'Control ' At the meeting Of the Town' Ceuncil on Friday night' last, Town Solielter Dancey submitted a certificate of title „ to MacKay Hall, also a doeument 'signed by the trustees of MaCKayIaU seonsentin,g to. the iSsue of-. this Cer.- tificate of title, the property "to „be. used as a .eoramunity• hall as, here- tofore." , JO another letter front Mr. 'Dancey it was stated that•Dr. Gallow, treasurer of the.eolumittee looking after the hall," had on hand $590- which would go towards repairs to the property. There ie a yearly income of $279 frona the Robert MaeKay estate, Mr. DanceY stated, and he also advised that as tle present zeretaker was :getting out of the hall it would be necessary to appoint•a new one. , There was coasiderable discussion by Councll as to the future management •of the hall,. and it was decided`that, as the-Pnblic School Board is to have the inie of the hall for some time, the . services of the ,existing .beard of trusteesitiould z1onger he necessary and i was -decided to notify- the • Members to this effect. .
