. The diamond 'jubilee of the Huron
Presbyterial 'Women's Missionary So-
ciety of the Presbyterian , Church in:
Canada was celebrated in ia.inox church,
Goderich; on Tuesday, September 11th,
with morning and afternoon sessions.
The ebureh was beautifully decorated
with flowers,: and a Lovely basket- of
white gladioli was placed: in front, of
theul it in Memory of^all. the; faithful

members who have been --galled to
higher service since the Presbyterial"
was .organized in. 1885.
Delegates were present from Atiburn,'
Bayfield, . Belgrave, Blyth, Clinton,
Exeter, .'•Goderich,y Hensall 'Ind Sea-
ford', and a cordata welcome wits ex-
tended, on behalf . of the Goderich
auxiliaries' by Mrs. G•. Bisset.. • Q.
At the morning session, the Scripture
lesson was read •by Miss Josephine
Weir, of Auburn, and in the season
of prayer which followed one member
of each auxiliary took- part. •
The theme for the day was • "For-
•
wazrd . in faith and service," and the
',Posbyterial president, Mrs.
ji hoi<npson of Seaforth, spoke of the
,meed for a closer walk with ,Gecl if
the members are to do the work that
lies ahead. "There are weights that
we must lay aside, those sins that
so easily beset us, and • liincler the
Work of the church everywhere. We
must pray for the power and guidance
of the Hely Spirit,' and if -we _go for-
ward in faith .God will give us strength
for the day, and help in ,every time of
need." •
Lithe absence of the treasurer, Mrs.
'J. B. Russell of Seaforth, the report,
was given by the former treasurer,
Mrs. T. Swan Smith. The contribu-
tions 'to,; date fo the -general fund
amounted to $1,332.50, with $35 in the.
expense fund, and $122 contributed..
for supplies.
Arecommendation was received from
the executive regarding the Mission
Band work, and it was decided to hold
a -Mission Band rally in -Seaforth, the
date to be 'announced later. ' .•
Departmental Reports
The weak points of the Presbyterial
departments were brought to the at-
tention of the delegates by the various
secretaries : • .Youngwomen's and girls'
'work by Mrs. A. D. McEwan, Hensall;
• • Mission Bands -by Mrs. D. J. Lane of
Clinton ; home helpers and students by
Miss L. M. Jeckell of Exeter; literature
and library by Mrs. G. Bisset, Gode-
rich ; life membership, Mrs. G. Wacker,
Hensall ;."Glad Tidings," .Mrs. F. Ross,
,Auburn ; press, Mrs. A. Taylor, Gode-
rich welcome. and Welfare, Mrs. C.
Hudson, Henson; and supply work by
Miss A. B. • Macdonald, Goderich: Mrs.
J. G. Inkster of Toronto gave some
good suggestions to help solve the
problems.
• Foch auxiliary was asked to''answer
the roll call with "Highlights of Your
Auxiliary," and. many interesting facts
were ' brought . to light, as the stories
were told of the women who were
the .pieneers in missionary work in

tioned a girl came forward with a
poster stating when it was organized;

World for Christ." Others taking part
