At the morning session, the Scripture lesson was read •by Miss Josephine Weir, of Auburn, and in the season of prayer which followed one member of each auxiliary took- part. • The theme for the day was • "For- • wazrd . in faith and service," and the ',Posbyterial president, Mrs. ji hoi<npson of Seaforth, spoke of the ,meed for a closer walk with ,Gecl if the members are to do the work that lies ahead. "There are weights that we must lay aside, those sins that so easily beset us, and • liincler the Work of the church everywhere. We must pray for the power and guidance of the Hely Spirit,' and if -we _go for- ward in faith .God will give us strength for the day, and help in ,every time of need." • Lithe absence of the treasurer, Mrs. 'J. B. Russell of Seaforth, the report, was given by the former treasurer, Mrs. T. Swan Smith. The contribu- tions 'to,; date fo the -general fund amounted to $1,332.50, with $35 in the. expense fund, and $122 contributed.. for supplies. Arecommendation was received from the executive regarding the Mission Band work, and it was decided to hold a -Mission Band rally in -Seaforth, the date to be 'announced later.
