In May of 1944 he vas given leave and went to England and Scot- land, and returned home in September, 1944, aboard the'Queen Mary and had the honor of being one of the military Police for Prime' Minister Churchill. Phe Queen Mary was only fourdays crossing and . decked at New York and Arnold came home for three months' leave. While home Arnold married Miss Edna Ruffell of Goderich. : At the end of his leave he reported back to Halifax, where he took a petty officer's course. He was successful in passing; his examinations and was petty officer when he got his discharge. Arnold is now in Goderich: and expects to take over his taxi business. , A pleasant evening was spent in the school -house of S.S.
