heneive survey of theyear's. activities,

"The Empire Service Club , repre-

recreation centre for all men in Mil-

mittee was appointed composed of mem-
bers of both Chapters. • •
•"At the outset substantial assistance
was given by the Town (Mullein, tile
Public U-tilities 'Commission, and the
•Lions Club. The County Connell pro-
vided us with an- electric refrigerator,
and we received. several gifts -from
citizens who were interested in 'our
Wert aking.
• "There Were ten meetings ii*eld durng
the year; the first one <being on
November 19th„ I1l19,_ and there was
an .-tiv_el'age-attenclanee -of twelve. 'There
were four committees' formed; namely,
the Service committee, entertainment
committee, purchasing 'committee and
-house committee. The service com-
mittee drew lip a schedule by which'
hostesses. were provided for every
afternoon, and evening, eash -member
being called upon once .in two weeks.
It Was decided that wesellsandwiches
and small cakes and various kinds, of
drinks at as low a price as possible,
and, that we also sell ch-oeolate bars,
eigarettes, chewing • gum, matches and
stamps. ,
• •"A guest, book, was purchaSed and
all boys coming -to the Oldb were asked
• to register. In this way •they often
find people from their own 'home, and
make connections whkh • they might
dot be able to dti ethereetse.
We later- formed .a.decarating. com-
mittee.. and the Club W11.9 -suitably
• decorated for all festiVe seasons.
