Running Away.
A despatch from St. Mary's.,
Ont., says:-Thoinas-Rigney, a farm-
er, aged 63, met with a horribly
painful death-. on Wednesday at
.,Granton, a few miles from here.

Guichon Limited, tenth -bound near
Burnaby Lake, five miles from
VitlICOUVer, at half -past 4 on Thurs-
day afternoon. Ralph MePheeter
and Robert Nichol, two engineers,
were killed. The fireman on the
Guichon train, a stranger, was
buried in the wreck and is dead.
C. O. Cornwall, a passenger, was
badly injured in the back and !taken
to the hospital unconscious. Twelve
passengers were injured.
