SUDDEN DEATH.
AllYOUNG LADY EXPIRES AFTER A
FEW HOURS' ILLNESS, .
SYNCOPE TIIi CAUSE OF »EATIt,
On Saturday afternoon last' the iubabitents
of Exeter were sadly surprised to learn that
a young lady about seventeen years of age,
daughter of IIr. Thomas Glinu, of Hibbert,
had come to Exeter iu the morning, in toler-
ably good health, was taken ill and about six
o'clock breathed her last. It appears that Mise
Glinn had -not been in good spirits for three or
four days previous -to the day ou which she ex-
pired, the ailment being .principally iu the
head. On Saturday morning Miss Winn, al-
though not feeling very well, made • up her
miud to come to Exeter to transact some busi-
ness which she was.atpxious to have done, aud,
it company with her father and cousin, arrived
in the village in the forenoon, and proceeded
to transact her business at several planes. Iu
the afternoon about four o'clock, she called at
teed the annual county mustang of the L. O. the residence of Mr. Harrison, and during her
L. can field conveyauces at 13rucefield to take stay, these she remarked that the horse
was very warm. Miss Harrison brought her a
glass of cold water which she drank and ap-
peared to be much refreshed by it. Leaving
illr•. Harrison's, Miss Glinn went to Banton
Brothers' store and after doing considerable
shopping, complained of feeling faint and ask-
ed for a driuk of water which was given her.
After drinking:the water she asked to go to the
back yard, to which else was sbowu, and her
