Church ou the evening of Wednesday
last. The church was filled to its ut-
most capacity, with a happy company
drawn thither in anticipation of a hap-
py time. As far as could be judged
they had it; soine found enjoyment in
ona way and some in' another. Each
took that particular mode of entertain-
ment that best suited his individual
taste. Tea was served at seven o'clock,
after which the chair was taken by the
Rev. J. Livingstone, the popular pastor
of the eongregation, whose witty re-
marks added much to the suct;ess of the
meeting. Excellent addresses were de-
livered during the evening by the Rev.
Messrs. Mitchell and Hartley, of .Exe-
ter. Each gave prnotiaal suggestiuos
