One of the children was despatched after the constable, but when he arrived at the house, the drunken woman had taken her de- partnre. Dal:venous TnAMPs.-It is said that on Tuesday evening last a couple of boys found a tramp in Mr. D. Johns' shed, adjoining his house, and that he had in his han 1 a rag soaked in coal oil. He chased the boys away. and lit the rag and left, when the boys re entered the shed, and found the fire had died out. If this be so it seems strange that the constable was not put on the alert. At all events people would do wisely to look well to their outbuildings now that the tramps have commenced their summer campaign. A Free BIIILDI,rG.-A good deal of the brick work on Mr. C.
