Died in JAIL.—A week or two ago
James Stinson, of the township of
Hay, aged 58 yeras, died of disease of
the lungs. He was committed to God-
erich jail for vagrancy, being then in a
very weak state, and he continued to
sink gradualIy, refusing all food. Ev-
ery attention was paid to Ellin by the
surgeon, officials, and fellow prisoners.
The body was interred in the "Potters'
Field' on Monday afternoon. From
all that can be lealrned, the unfortunate
man was so dissipated that hie relatives
refused to have anything to do with
with him, although ,they provided for
hire until' within a couple of weeks of
