performing well into the
evening. The event
also included a dinner
and proceeds will go to-
wards the Lions Club
Childrens Programs
and the Community
Park Project.
'Hope for the future' topic at
St. Patrick's ACW meeting
Nine members were at the meet-
ing November 16.

SAINTSBURY - St. Patrick's A.C.W. held their No-
vember meeting at the home of Hazel Davis on
Wednesday afternoon with nine members present.
The meeting opened with the Members Prayer in uni-
son followed by a message by Suzanne Davis entitled
"We all must part, but we will meet again.”
Scripture reading Jeremiah 23:1-6 was read by Betty
Johnson. The outline of the theme "Hope for the fu-
ture" was discussed.
On Reign of Christ Sunday the readings focus on im-
ages of leadership. It is a transitional Sunday that leads
into Advent and is the last Sunday of the church year.
The scripture verse chosen for emphasis is "I will raise
up shepherds to look after them and pasture them.
They will no longer be afraid."
Prayers were said for sick members, Marguerite
Greenlee, Hazel Eaton and Eileen Carroll. Sunday
School Teachers Prayer was given by Hazel Davis,
treasurer and secretary reports were read and approved.
Rose Cunningham led in prayer for Church Universal
and Mary Davis closed with the prayer "Keep Watch
Over Us". Business followed.
A Sunday School Christmas party is to be held fol-
lowing the church service on December 11. Thank you
notes from the MacGillivray's and the Wheeler's were
read. Discussion over interest from the Jared estate and
the group's suggestions for 1995 were decided upon to
be sent to the Diocese.
The December A.C.W. meeting will be held at noon
with a potluck lunch on a date to be set later this

day cake and coffee. Margaret Carroll was celebrating
her birthday the following day.
Church service
November 20 St. Patrick's celebrated Reign of Christ
Sunday with the Service of Morning Prayer at 8:30
a.m. Rev. Emery spoke to the children about the alpha-
bet A to Z. It includes everything and the ancient greek
Alpha is beginning and Omega the end. As Jesus said
"I am the Alpha and the Omega" - beginning and end
of our lives.
Sunday Advent I, November 27, Year C, St. Pat-
rick's will celebrate their Holy Communion service at
11:00 a.m. Scripture readings are to be Jeremiah
33:14-16, I Thessalonians 3:9-13, Psalm 25:1-9, The
Holy Gospel Luke 21:25-36.
Personals
Ron and Margaret Carroll were dinner guests on
Wednesday with Edythe Mugford of St. Marys.
Crystal Davis, a member of Exeter Ringette, took
part in the tournament at Exeter and Hensall arenas on
the weekend.
Amy Hodgcrt was overnight visitor with the Davis's
on Saturday evening. Jamie Hern and Shane Gregoire
visited with Harley Davis on Saturday.
Helen MacDonald, Marylou Rumleski, Courtney
MacGillivray and Heather MacGillivray visited with
Mary Davis this week.
Prayers for good health go out to Marguerite Green-
lee from the St. Patrick's community.
