Self defense
course
in Lucan
The Lucan Karate School sponsored a self defense
course for women at the Lucan Legion Sunday
afternoon. The course, with financial support of
the Lucan Optimists, drew 12 women from Lucan,
llderton, London, Ailsa Craig and Exeter to learn
how to deter attackers. The instructors say they
hope to offer similar and more advanced courses in
the future.
Learning how to use their knees effectivdiy was only one of several ways the group were
shown how to quickly hurt and discourage a would-be attacker.
Dan Bell (above)demonstrates how to "slap" an attacker - the group of 12 women later tried
out the slap on a pad held by the instructors.

course how to kick hard and fast to quickly deter an attacker.

I am sure almost everyone who drives a lot at
night would agree that white lints should be on both
sides of the highways.
If people sec better, it would reduce accidents on
our roads and be safer.

The much awaited "time Capsule" opening is fast
approaching. The countdown to the window of
discovery is just a few days away. Computers
have been busy calculating the exact time that
the timelock will release and the secrets inside

The experts will now state for sure a time of on or
about 10 a.m. the morning of November 19. The
suspense is building and the excitement
gathering speed. Children will be able to tell their
grandchildren, a picture is worth a thousand
words, but memories are an endless galaxy.
