A VILLAGE FOR ALL SEASONS
EXETER - Beautiful fall weather
has greeted the diners this month.
Many have taken advantage of it.
Thanksgiving was celebrated
with Rev. Rutledge as speaker from
the Baptist Church in Exeter. He
gave a wonderful Thanksgiving
message. Mary Neil gave a reading
"Give Thanks", along with two oth-
er readings on Thanksgiving.
On October 4, draw prizes were
won by Grant Mills and Muriel
Miller. Several flower bouquets do-
nated by Marion Dearing were won
by Ted Roberts, Don Jolly, Marion
Frayne, Helen Hindle, Dorothy
Bullock, Bill Smits and Lorne Mar-
shall.
On October 11, draw prizes were
won by Mary Neil and Don Jolly.
Flowers donated by Kay Green
went to Tunis Berends, Muriel
Miller and Anna Eberhardt. Marjo-
rie Johns and Jack Haines enter-
tained on the keyboard and violin.
On October 18 a draw prize was
won by Ina Johns. Jean Hodgen,
Harry Jeffery and Ray Cann enter-
tained on the keyboard, violin and
banjo. Toe -tapping music was en-
joyed.
Draw prizes on October 25 were
won by Don Jolly and Erlma Kel-
ler. The late Alma Godbolt's family
were sent a sympathy card and a
get well card was sent to Mary
Usborne 4-H

The Usborne 1 Fitness Freaks 4-
H club held their second meeting
on October 24. The group met at
Physiques Aerobic Studio on Main
Street, Exeter where they took part
in a series of exercises. They trav-
elled to Exeter Public School to fin-
ish their meeting.
Amy Hodgert was elected treas -
urer. The minutes of the last meet-
ing were read by Robyn Ethering-
ton and the press report was read
by Elizabeth Kerslake.
The group discussed finding
heart rates and then set some goals
to follow while in the club. The
next meeting is to be held on No-
vember 7 at Usborne Central

Funk and Dutchie Wooley.
Rev. Grant Mills and Pat Skinner
lead the singing each week and
cards and crokinole are played in
the north room following the dinner
and program.
A good-bye was said to Morley
Hall as he ventures off to a new
apartment in London.

beginning November 13 and ending December 18. Class topics
will include the basics of photography, and a very small class
size will ensure that students learn what they wish to learn.
Photofinishing discounts and a free enlargement are included.
Instructor Mindy Gough is an award winning young
photographer who specializes in family and children's portraits.
