Tuckersmith Telephone to hold
general meeting
"...changes may have to be made
which could affect all of us."
Dear Editor:
Enclosed is a letter addressed to all subscribers of
Tuckersmith Municipal Telephone System. This let-
ter gives no recognition to the many customers of
the system who have serious concerns which they
wish to see resolved. Some may believe they have
been subscribers for years and eliminated when they
moved or have a new home in subdivisions and
made no effort to become one.
It is my suggestion that you call 263-21 1 1, ask if
you have subscriber status and if not, take the neces-
sary steps to become one.
With the new ruling giving the CRTC jurisdiction
over regulation of municipal telephone systems,
changes may have to be made which could affect all
of us.

Letters to the editor
Goodbye from Rex
"I have enjoyed the town and its
people, many saying how cute I
looked."
Dear Editor:
I have lived in Exeter for about fourteen years. I
have enjoyed the town and its people, many saying
how cute I looked.
What I haven't enjoyed is the prejudice against a
small group of people who I have lived with. They
cause no apparent problems but have been recently
punished for their care of me.
My name is Rex. I am fourtren years of age. I
walked up and down the streets, causing no one
problems. I am often accompanied by a tall elderly
lady who took me to the grocery store for my food,
also going with another lady to get the mail.
Apparently I have become a menace when I
threatened to impregnate a Rottweiler. Please keep
in mind I am fourteen years old and a small terrier.
While letters were sent by council on behalf of a
certain party to keep me indoors, Braemor Manor at-
tempted to contain me, but after fourteen years of
my freedom, it was a difficult task to contain me.
Finally I was put to sleep.
On behalf of the Staff at Braemor Manor, it was a
great loss to our residents and I believe only a re-
moval of a minor nuisance to some one who cared
more for their concerns and less for others.
Good bye.
Rex

Planets explode
URI F. ORZWEL
A Super Nova was observed in the distant Valuto
Martarium Solar System. The exploding star has sent
galactic debris throughout our galaxy.
The fireball explosion engulfed the four orbiting
planets in its system sending planetary debris hur-
tling towards distant solar systems. This galactic
event took scientists completely by surprise. The
causes and possible effects are not known at this
time. Astronomers will not divulge any more in-
formation at this time, other than to say they have no
name for this once in a lifetime event.
It has been reported that telescopes and radio- .
telescopes have been turned to the skies to record the
coming space event, just 50 light years away.
What repercussions will this cosmic calamity have
on us?
