GRANTON - Lots of people en-
joyed the annual Fish Fry at the
Masonic Hall last Sunday.
Many local residents took in the
Western Fair in London last week
when good weather prevailed and
attendance was above average.
Rhea Hardie of London, and for-
merly of Granton, has been con-
fined to University Hospital having
suffered a stroke about two weeks
ago.
At St. Thomas' Anglican Church
on Sunday, September 18, the Rev.
Stephen Emery's message was
about the struggles of Job who was
a good man, tempted by Satan, the
adversary and accuser.
At Granton United Church on
Sunday, Betty Sangster was the
guest speaker in the absence of Pas-
tor Normalie Voakes.
Martin Riddell lit the Christ Can-
dle and the choir sang "His eye is
on the sparrow."
April Bryan led the children's
time and the lessons were read by
Marilyn Humphrey and the minis-
ter.
