The first prize winner will re- ceive $700 cash and the opportuni- ty to spend a day with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) explor- ing areas of particular interest to them. The next five runners-up will also receive cash prizes. Contestants will give a timed five -to seven -minute speak in Eng- lish or French on one of four sug- gested topics. This year's topics include: Canadian Agriculture - Competing in the Global Market- place; International Year of the family - Supporting our Canadian Farm Families; Junior Farmers' Association of Ontario - Celebrat- ing 50 years of Self -Help and Community Betterment; and the Changing Face of our Rural Com- munities.
