EXETER - On Thursday, July
28, the 12 students registered in
the "Can you Babysit Tonight?"
course offered by the Canada Em-
ployment Ccntre for Students
(CEC-S), graduated. Accepting
their honours were Brad Baker
(Exeter), Nicole Chopra (Huron
Park), Michelle Genttner (Kippen),
Danielle Gregore (Exeter), Ryan
Groot (Hensall), Jason Jones (Ex-
eter), Tara Koehel (Exeter), Cecile
Macs (Hensall), Melissa O'Brien
(Crediton), Kathy VanBergen (Ex-
eter), Jaqueline VanEsper (Exeter),
and Patty Wood (Huron Park).
After three intense days of class-
es, which included quizzes, note-
book review, guest speakers,
games, participation exercises, and
discussions on student experienc-
es, first aid and CPR, the students
were required to take a written test
to test their knowledge. All did
well.
This is the second year in a row
that the CEC-S offered the babysit-
ting course. The response and suc-
cess of the course this year, has
been very cncouraging, say orga-
nizers, who insist it not only shows
that there are students out there

Vaginal dryness affects about 40% of women under
the age of 40 and 60% of those over 40. It can be
caused by a lower concentration of estrogen, so it is
common in menopausal women. Other contributing
factors include stress, exercise, and certain medica-
tions like antihistamines and antidepressants.
A five -in -one vaccine has been approved in Canada. The new vaccine
combines immunizations against diptheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio and
Haemophilus influenza (Hib). The polio component replaces the oral po-
lio vaccine. Not all provinces have converted to this neW combination.
Startling statistic department: Japanese citizens consume and average
of 28 litres of alcohol each year.
Niacin is often recommended as a cholesterol-lowering drug,. It is effec-
tive for this purpose but should not be used without your doctor's con-
sent. Niacin can aggravate stomach ulcers and increase blood sugar.
So it's not good for everyone.
