Above - Memer's Meats en-
tered this "old man who lived
a shoe" float in Saturday
moming's parade. Complete
with slingshot -armed tom-
boy's and bubbles from the
windows, it offered a different
view of the International Year
of the Family theme chosen
for the parade.

youngsters who visited Dash -
wood's Friedsburg Days Sat-
urday aftemoon.

opened the annual horseshoe
competition in Dashwood Sat-
urday aftemoon, a side event
to the Friedsburg festivities.
The event is scheduled to be-
come a part of the horse-
shoes competitive circuit in
1995. Behind is Ken Masse
of the Bears (Inc.) which or-
ganized the 16 -team slo-pitch
toumament and helped the
St. Marys club with the horse-
shoes venue.
Below - Judy Crown tried her
hand at the women's division
of the chainsaw competition.
The mens' division also fea-
tured heats in timed and
"beat the clock" competi-
tions.

crokinole were
part of the
scene.
