By Carmel Sweeney ZURICH - The Zurich and area community yard sale will be held August 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. at various houses around town, as well as some at the arena. The United Church will be hav- ing a bake sale as well. Bus trip If you are interested in going on a bus trip August 13 to the Millbank area with Glen Neeb, phone as soon as possible, 236-4060. The bus leaves at 9 a.m. from St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Personals To honour Fr. John Corriveau, son of Meryle and the late Dennis Corriveau, family members attend- ed an open house and dinner in London on July 31 at the Moore Lodge. He is the first Canadian Brother to be elected head of the "Cupuchin Franciscan Order". The open house was to wish him fare- well before going to Rome. Sympathy is extended to the fam- ily of the late Paddy (Lawrence) Bedard Sr. who passed away on July 28 with the funeral Mass held on Monday at St. Boniface Church. A funeral Mass was held at St. Boniface Church on Saturday morning, July 30 for the late Joseph Denomme of Vancouver. His par- ents, Louis and Josephine had just returned home from being in B.C. since his death. Congratulations to Rose -Marie Regkr (Joe) on the occasion of her 60th birthday on July 27. A birth- day petty was held in her honour on Saturday with several family members and friends attending. Dinner was enjoyed at St. Boniface Parish Hall. Happy birthday wishes go to Jan- et Durand on July 25; to Mozart Gelinas Sr. on August 7; to our daughter Carrie Eybergen on Au- gust 8; to Aimee Gelinas on August 9; and to Peter Welsh recently. Lee and Sandra Desjardine and boys spent last week in Moosejaw visiting with his brother Harvey who is stationed there. Congratulations to Ron and San- dra Dickert, Exeter, on their 25th wedding anniversary. A reception was held in their honour on Satur- day at the Zurich Community Cen- tre with family, friends and rela- tives attending. Ann and son Steven Besozzi from San Francisco, California are presently spending their annual three week summer holiday with her mother, Gerry Kane. Tim Klopp and family are spend- ing the week at a cottage at Pike Lake, while he is attends hockey camp there. Dan and Carrie Eybergen and two girls from Acworth, Georgia spent the holiday weekend with his parents Dan and Jeanette Eybergen Sr. in Port Franks. While Dan left for a two-week business trip to Chicago on Monday, Carrie, Tiffa- ny and Brittany will visit with her parents, the Sweeney family, and relatives and friends in the Zurich Zurich . Marie Gingerich has had some visitors lately; brother Norman and Vera Helmuth and their son Paul and wife Eileen from Baden visited last Thursday; over the weekend, daughter Dawn Gingerich from London and two girlfriends; and on Monday another brother, Laverne and Marjorie Schwartzcntruber from Baden. Michele Gelinas of Vancouver is spending the month of August at the home of her parents, Mozart and Marie Gelinas Sr. and visiting relatives in the area.
