he held Thursday, July 21, at the
Hensa'I United Church. The day
begins 5T-10 a.m., with foot cart.
Ron -Tyndall will he speaking on
"Women's Self -Defense", at 10:30
a.m. There will he no charge for
this activity. Come out and take
home information that could he of
interest to you. There will also he a
noontime barbecue and cards.

urcTAMES ROAD - Rev. Jim Allsop was in charge of the summer
chservice on Sunday morning at Thames Mad.
The Responsive Reading was taken from the Service Book 'The Deeds
of the Lord", Psalm 111. The choir sang 'There is Time" accompanied by
the organist Jean Hodgert.
The Scripture Lepton II Samuel 6:1-5, I2b-19, Ephesians 1:13-14 was
read by Jean Hodgert.
Rev. Allsop read Mark 6:1-29 and the title of his -sermon was "The
Strange Ways of God".-
-'he closing hymn "To Abraham and Sarah" was sung.
Next Sunday the joint church service will be at Elimville at 10 a.m.
Baptism will take place at Thames Road at the joint church service on
July 24 at 10 a.m.
A joint picnic and church service will be held at Morrison Dam on Sun-
day, July 31 at IO a.m. •

June Stewart guessed the most kitchen items in a box, Alana Hodgert
and Don McIntosh tied at guessing the number of gum balls in a jack and
Erin Parker was the closest when counting tabs in a bottle.
The most colourful dresser was Keith Hodgert whose pants were as
bright as Brenda McLean's shiniest shoes.
Thomas Dunlop, son of Jim and Ruth (Bray), won the prize for the \
youngest member in attendance.
Winners during the afternoon sports were as follows: Running (pre-
