Results from the bike
decorating contest
and beach volleyball
EXETER - Canada Day festivities in Ex-
eter all day Friday left everyone a winner,
what with free entertainment, displays of
radio controlled aircraft and fireworks, and
of course a few contests.
A bike decorating contest drew a large
number of children to the South Huron
Recreation Centre in the morning, all with
bicycles ,and tricycles adorned In Canada
Day motifs. Prizes were awarded to the
top three in each of five classes.
In the pre -kindergarten class, the winner
was Richard Johns, with Travis Brintnell and
Carla Musser in second and third.
in the kindergarten class, the winner was
Matthew, Johns, with Ashley Devries second
and Cameron Robinson third.
For competitors in grades one and two the
winner was Stacey Pfaff, with Miriam La-
marre second and Scott Loosley third.
in the grade three and four group, Rebecca
Devries won, with Miranda Grenier second
and Kurtis Masse third.
in the grades five to eight class, the overall
winner was Amanda Brooks. Tiffany Sedlak
was second and Nicole Alexander was third.
In beach volleyball action all day, eight
teams vied for the final. In the end the Try
Hards defeated The Other Team for the over-
all championship.
