Committee sets meeting dates
Committee trying to accomodate both vacationers and rural residents
By Heather Mir

GRAND BEND - July 11 and 12
have been set as dates for the fust
of several public meetings re-
garding proposed amalgamation in-
volving Exeter, Stephen, Usborne,
Grand Bend and Bosanquet.
The initial meetings, to be held in
two locations, will give members of
the public as well as special inter-
est groups an opportunity to par-
ticipate in the process and provide
Well it's over! Done with, kaput, finito! The school year has come
to a close and now it is time to kick back and be free. No more pro-
jects, tests or exams, that is at least until September. New leaders are
coming as the older ones must depart. It is time for the graduating
class to leave. We have been shown the door but remember this door
is not simply one to go out of, but one of which to enter through, into
a new world of experience and growth. It has been a fun task trying to
keep the community informed of what has been happening in the
school. Hopefully one of the communications people from the new
student's council will continue to let you know what's happening at
SHDHS next school year.
This year has been full of excitement, hard work, happiness, and
sometimes even disappointments and sadness but we all have shared
many experiences. Don't forget everything this year has taught you.
For the many of you coming back, remember SHDHS is your school.
Enjoy it while you are there.
Well I guess this is goodbye, both to writing this article and for me
it is also goodbye to high school. I leave with both excitement for
what lies ahead but a bit of sadness for what is over. I hope all of your
have enjoyed sharing South Huron with all of us. Goodbye.
Important things to remember:
Graduation will be held on September 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the large
gym at the school. Graduating students should be at the school by 7
p.m. to get set up.
Report cards can be picked up on Friday June 28 between 9 and 10
a.m. in home room. Remember if you are getting someone to pick
your report remember to sign a note giving them permission to do so.
If you are unable to pick up your report Friday, you can drop a self ad-
dressed stamped envelope off at the school or pick it up in the office
until July 12.
** Graduating students will NOT receive their reports until the $15
has been paid for their cap and gown!!**
There will be someone in the office until July 12 and they will be
back on August 20. OSAP forms are still available in the office. You
can still order a yearbook in the office from Jean. Don't miss out. If •
you don't buy one you will regret it later. School begins again on Sep-
tember 3, 1996. Have a great summer! Be safe and have fun!
