Rumor has it, that during the Grand Bend mid -summer festi- val of 1993 a controversial fire eater was responsible for a tor- rential down pour. Sources say that some unfortunate soul re- quested a repeat performance af- ter this certain ingester of flame had already removed his cere- monial make up. Bending to the will of this unfortunate fan, said fire eater displayed his talents and was immediately scolded by the fire eating gods with a teem- ing rain extinguishing his per- formance and causing everyone to run for cover. Festivities will continue on Monday July 1 and will include a series of musical performers on Grand Bend's Main Beach. Local musicians Dennis Siren, Rick Powell, and Brian Dale will take the stage on Grand Bend's Main Beach at 3 p.m. and entertain crowds throughout the afternoon and into the eve- ning. At 10 p.m. a huge fire works display will take place on the main beach as the grand finale to the weekend of Canada Day celebrations. easily laser - laser. This laser performs a procedure called skin resurfacing. This laser is hand guided by Dr. Cauchi (a trained laser surgeon) over the skin surface. This laser doesn't burn the skin - it vaporizes a minute. computer controlled cell depth layer of skin. The lines disappear as they are treated. Laser treatment of the skin also stimulates the collagen (dyer of the skin tc contract. The result of this is that the healthy skin underneath is firmer, more elastic, thicker and more youthful. Lasers will eventually replace face lifts and chemical peels. The results are permanent until your skin naturally wrinkles again (about 10 to 15 years). This procedure is done under local anesthesia. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes for an upper lip and half an hour for both upper and lower lip. A full face takes about one hour. Pain is like that of a sunburn and patients need to be able to have a week to 10 days for recovery. If you have any questions concerning this exciting new laser treatment, please call the Loramar Centre for Cosmetic Medicine today to book a consultation 519- 524-4430 or 1-800-896-4430.
