Sunday school children conduct service
Their theme for the
morning was 'A Rain-
bow of Families'.

THAMES ROAD - 'A Rainbow
of Families' Sunday School anni-
versary service was held on Sunday
at Elimville Church.
Brent Pym led in the Call to Wor-
ship and Megan Skinner led in the
Prayer of Approach.
The scriptures from Genesis 9:1-
17 were read by Brenda Elford and
from 11 Timothy I :1-10 by Ian
Weston.
Kerri and Kelli Fulton received
the offering with a prayer given by
Laura Skinner.
Megan Skinner presented Sharon
Lynn with $181.00 collected for the
M&S Fund. The Sunday School
raised the money from their recent
Walk-a-thon. The Sunday School
students gave the meditation "A
Rainbow of Families". The Sunday
School children sang "Kum Ba
Yah" accompanied by pianist Mar-
jorie Johns.
Emily Pym led in "Our Family
Prayer" and "The Lord's Prayer."
Nancy Smith handed out diplo-
mas and seals to the Sunday School
students.
They sang the closing hymn
"Prayer for Family."
Nathan Elford gave the Commis-
sions and Benediction.
Upcoming
On Sunday, June 30 a joint con-
gregational church service and pic-
nic will be held at Thames Road at
10:30 a.nt. Bring your lawn chairs,
dishes, cutlery and picnic baskets.
There will be no services at ei-
ther Elimville or Thames Road in
July. The summer schedule is as
follows: August 4 at Elimville, Au-
gust 11 at Thames Road, August
18 at Elimville and August 25 at
Tharnes Road. All services will be-
gin at 10:00 a.m.

Bill and Rhoda Rohde visited
with Elliott and Audrey McRoberts
of Exeter on Wednesday evening.
Congratulations to Lorne and Pat
Ballantyne on the birth of a grand-
son, a son for Ron and Wendy
Earle of London on Wednesday.
The women of the church fed
519 people along with some pre-
school children on Monday at their
annual Strawberry and Ham Sup-
per. One of the members is missing
a clear pyrex casserole bowl from
the supper.
Quite a number of people attend-
ed an open house for Mary Connol-
ly on Sunday in honor of her 80th
birthday at Thames Road Church.
Remote control
Members of the Forest City Flyers held a demonstration of their radio controlled model
planes for the students of McCurdy Public School recently at the Centralia -Huron Park air-
port strip.
