sion Biddulph School
BIDDULPH TOWNSHIP - Last
week at Biddulph school Madame
Kemme's class had special visits
from members of the University of
Western Ontario's "Sunstang" en-
gineering team as well as Ken Ken-
nedy of Delta Bravo Aviation (out
of Centralia).
As a finale to the grade 4 trans-
portation unit, the students from
UWO brought videos and ex-
plained their experiences with the
university's of solar -powered car
"Sunstang". Greg, Rasha and Mi-
chelle then helped the children
build their own solar -powered cars
from popsicl' sticks using solar
panels which they had brought with
them.
While the children were building
their cars Ken Kennedy "dropped
in" in Biddulph and put on a mini
air show for the school with his
"Quicksilver" ultra -light plane. He
then landed and allowed Mme
Kemmc's class to see the plane
close up. Kennedy explained the
design and materials and how ultra -
light planes differ from regular
planes. Mme. Kehnme still has her
head in the clouds after her im-
promptu ultra -light flying lesson.
Biddulph School would like to
thank Mr. Kennedy for making his
special presentation and Harry Har-
dy and Tom Hardy for the use of
their makeshift ultra -light landing
strip. Many thanks to the UWO en-
gineering students and department
from Mme. Kemme's class.

Residents enjoy antique car show
HENSALL - Queensway cele-
brated Fathers Day a bit early this
year with an antique car show on
Monday evening. Staff member
Diane Gautreau and several of her
car enthusiast friends came to visit
and residents took the opportunity
to enjoy rides around town in the
car of their choice. Hensall resi-
dents took a trip down memory
lane as they toured around town
with Lorne. Thank you very much
to these car buffs who shared their
hobby with us.

have Buck's family members at-

Breakfast Club attendees feasted
on a cheese omelet Wednesday
morning along with lots of toast
and coffee. Staff members seem to
be drawn to west corridor often on
Wednesday mornings as the irresis-
tible scents waft down the hall-
ways.
Thursday afternoon residents
laughed over another one of the
Readers Disgest comedies. This
one featured several of the old time
comics that were very familiar to
them. In the evening residents en-
joyed games night with the Chris-
