ZURICH - Many people came
from near and far to help Jerry and
Brenda Rader celebrate the opening
of their new unique market in Zu-
rich. Everyone was able to see and
taste the variety of products availa-
ble in the store.
Evangelical Lutheran Women
The June meeting of the Evangel-
ical Lutheran women met in the
Fellowship hall at 7:30 for business
followed by devotions and guest
speaker Penny from Child Light, a
parent resource for Blind and Visu-
ally impaired children with or with-
out disabilities aged 0-5 years.
Child Light is based in London and
serves the counties of Oxford, Mid-
dlesex, Huron, Haldimand-Norfolk,
Perth and Elgin. The prime method
of service is an in-home, individu-
ally prepared program.
Lunch was served to our visitors
from Dashwood Lutheran, and Zu-
rich United Church Ladies by Dot
Hess, Joan McKinnon and Doris
Hamilton.

will be auctioned off. If you didn't
get a book, you'll want to get a bid
in.

and address at the Hay Township
Municipal office. Your name tag
will be computer prepared and
ready for you to pick up at the Reg-
istration Desk in the auditorium
when you come to Homecoming.
Each family will also receive a "fa-
vour bag" of goods and informa-
tion.
Golden Agers
Zurich Golden Agers entertained
the winners going to the Senior
Games at their June meeting. A
potluck supper was enjoyed by 40
people. Phyllis Deichert accompa-
nied the singing of Grace and 0
Canada.
We were reminded of the invita-
tion to Huronview afternoon tea on
June 20 at 1:30 and several were
interested in going.
Nora Heard won the 50/50 draw
and Ceselia Farwell led in a few ex-
ercises. Annie Finkbeiner read two
poems "I Keep My Bottles In The
Basement" and "Grandmothers".
Ina Neeb read "The Farmer".
Glenn Weido was the last one to
sit down in a contest. The Zurich
Connections consisting of Lloyd
and Helen Otterbein and Art and
Eleanor Horst supplied lively mu-
sic throughout the evening. On be-
half of the guests Mary Jocobi
thanked the club for a supper and
evening. Games of solo, euchre and
crokinole followed.
Sister Joyce Smith from New Jer-
sey is spending the week with her
brother, Bill and Maddy Smith.
They attended the 25th Anniversary
of Bob and Trudy Smith on June 16
which was held at Bill and Maddy
Smith's home, R. R. 1, Dashwood.
Dorothy Slade from Kelowna,
B.C. spent a few days with friends

men returned home from a month's
holiday in Holland, visiting rela-
tives.

weekend in Shelbourne and attend-
ed a family reunion for her side of
the family on Saturday.
Earl and Anne Flaxbard spent
Saturday in Georgetown at the
home of son Paul and Cathy Flax -
bard and were joined by the other
member's family to celebrate Fa-
ther's Day.
A Fair Board meeting will be
held June 20 at 8 p.m. at the Town-
ship Hall.
The St. Boniface Youth. Group
(grades 6-8) will meet Thursday
night form 7 - 8:30 p.m. in the Par-
ish Hall.
The Town's Annual Dinner will
be held June 26 at the Community
Centre. Any senior citizen who has
not signed up for a ticket should
call the Municipal office 236-4974
as soon as possible.
