Ex -marine preaching In Exeter
By Mike Stable
Exeter Pentecostal Tabernacle
Christian Education Director
EXETER - Dr. Dennis Goodell
of Tulsa, Oklahoma has been held
over for a third week at Exeter
Pentecostal Tabernacle. What be-
gan as four days of meetings has
now become a full blown crusade
in which scores of people are re-
ceiving Christ and healing of both
inner hurts and infirm bodies. Vis-
itors from many different denomi-
nations are coming from as far as
Michigan and Toronto and atten-
dance is growing steadily as the
news of what God is doing
spreads.
Dr. Goodell's care and concern
for those to whom he ministers is
always evident and he gives self-
lessly of his time to pray for all
who desire a touch from the Lord.
Pastor Dennis' life is in turn a tes-
timony to the abiding care of the
heavenly Father whom he serves.
Dennis was born after his parents
were told they could not have any
more children. After an adven-
turesome youth, Dennis found
'himself in the U.S. Marine Corps
and in 1966 was sprit to the war in •
Vietnam: Of the 255 men in his
unit, Dennis was one of only four
who returned from the conflict.
Wounded, however. Dr. Goodell
lost his right kg. He now minis-
ters from a wheelchair but Den-
nis
eo-nis believes he will walk again
just as he did back in 1%7 to the
amazement of the doctors who
had predicted 1* would never
have this ability again.
In his obedience to the call of
God on his life, Dennis has
preached all around the world
holding especially large crusades
in Korea. He has preached to 12
million people and has seen sev-
en million make a decision to fol-
low Jesus Christ as Saviour and
Lord.
During his extended stay in Ex-
eter. Pastor Dennis has been used
of God to encourage many hun-
gry souls to exercise faith to re-
ceive documentable miracles of
many kinds and the presence of
the Lord continues to grow
sweeter and sweeter with each
succeeding meeting.
Meetings with Dr. Goodell will
continue until at least Sunday,
June 16 each eight, except Satur-
day,
autesday, at 7..0(1;r.

The school year is almost through and for the graduating students.
this is the end of an era. Classes end on Friday and exams will be held
the next week
From the perspective of a graduating student I have mixed feelings
about leaving. I am happy to be moving on to something new and ex-
citing but sad to leave this all behind. Most of us have spent five years
together and many great friendships have been made. It is going to be
ul
ditfii t for us all to go our separate ways.
The formal was a great success. The decorating was unbelievable
and everyone seemed to be having the best time. Con ttuiations to
vesyone who put their time and effort into the formal
e Friday will be the year-end assembly. For this year's students coun-
cil this will be the last event: The assembly will include several skits
and performances. Well, time sure does fly. The years is almost over
and the summer will soon be here. Good luck to all the graduates with
their future and good luck to all students on their exams.
