Book of Common Prayer for Trin-
ity Sunday. Crystal Davis read the
first lesson from the Old Testament
Deuteronomy 4;32-40 and the New
Testament Reading 11 Corinthians
13:5-14, Psalm 33:1-12 were read
responsively.
The Sunday School children sang
the hymn "Wonderful Words of
Life". The offerings of the people
were received by Caleb and Corbin
MacGillivray and presented at the
Lord's Table. .
Katie -Scarlett MacGillivray sang
the beautiful hymn "Holy Spirit
Hear Us." The children's focus and
message was entitled "The Mystery
of the Holy Trinity."
The service closed with the hymn
"Abide With Me". Courtney Mac-
Gillivray accompanied the hymns
playing the flute. The children
were thanked and praised for an en-
joyable service.
On the second Sunday after
Pentecost, June 9, Rev. Stanley Jay -
will be at St. Patrick's to celebrate
the Holy Eucharist at 10:30 a.m.
Scripture reading will be Isaiah
49:1-7, I Corinthians 1:1-9, Psalm
40:1-11, The Holy Gospel John
1:29-34.
Recent visitors with Mary Davis
were cousins Helen MacDonald,
Marion Noels and Bessie Caldwell,
all of Lucan and cousins Glenn and
Mary Dickins of London and Mr.
and Mrs, Keith Dickins of Stoney
Creek.
The Davis's have returned from a
vacation, attending the Bus Bash
'96 at Tulsa, Oklahoma and visit-
ing with friends at Branson, Mis-
souri. This 32nd event in the ongo-
ing series and the first for
Oklahoma was centred around the
Tulsa Marriott Southern Hills area.
There were tours of Oral Roberts
University and Abundant Life
Prayer Tower, mansions built by
Tulsa's oil barons, city tours, mu-
seums and the Allen traditional
working horse and cattle ranch for
a cookout, rides and country music
show.

and Starr visited with mother and
grandmother Dorothy Dietrich on
Saturday at the Blue Water Rest
Home.
Heather MacGillivray and par-
ents Hugh and Hazel attended the
family get together and baby show-
er on Sunday at the home of Vir-
ginia Harrison of Flushing, Michi-
gan, honoring cousin Nancy Kerby
Taylor of Texas and husband Ar-
chie. Nancy is the granddaughter of
the late George Miller of Flint,
Michigan.
Congratulations this week to
Harley Davis, winning first and
second place in the 60 cc and sec-
ond place in the 80 cc at R.J. Mo-
torcorss Park at Farrington, Ontario
on the weekend.

STAFFA - A good crowd attend-
ed the 28th anniversary service of
the Hibbert United Church on Sun-
day, Jude 2 with Pastor Irene Rich-
ardson welcoming everyone and
giving the call to worship.
Guest lay preacher for the service
was David Williams,' Woodham.
He spoke to the children about
creation and his sermon was enti-
tled 'An Awesome Beginning:
Special music for the anniversary
service was provided by the choir
and the mens' quartet. Accompany-
ing the music was Sini Drost and.
Amy Vingerhoeds.
Following the service everyone
was. invited t0' the Daynard Hall
where refreshments 'were served
and a presentation of a communion
set was made to Pastor Irene Rich-
ardson. -

Middleton. Administrator Mary
Jane was observed trying to ma-
noeuver around in her eon's size 13
sneakers! Draws were won by
Gwen O'Rourke and Lela Bogart.
Visits by the Exeter Community
Choir; the Grand Cove Choir; Ed -
die's Angels; Eugene Hartman and
Ann Raeburn; Doug Lewis; Doug
Risley; Koiintry Korners; and Cliff
Jaques made for many hours filled
with beautiful, music.

all. Vouchers for hugs and smiles
were distributed to the nurses and
many were "cashed in" during the
tea! Lucky draws added to the fun.
Friday, May 17 at great walka-
bout was held outdoors in front of
the villa: A large number of resi-
dents participated on a warm sunny
day. Wheelchairs pushed by volun-
teers and residents with walkers
were included and all agreed that
the fresh air andexercise was a
great spring tonic.
Remember, June is seniors month
and all at the villa will be taking
part in special activities.

running for two weeks from July
