Blowing out 30 foot flames, the dragster is powered by a twin jet engine and uses a massive parachute to slow it down at the end of its run. It's fastest time at Motorplex happened on Sunday when it burned down the 1/4 mile track in 8.83 seconds reaching a top speed of 173.74 mph. Fireworks shot into the sky as it crossed the finish line. The raceway was a popular place among weekend visitors who also took in two open-air rock concerts on Sunday night. Motorplex is gearing up for their next "super show" on June 15- 16 when they host the Asphalt Sled Provincial Series and Father's Day Harley Davidson Show and Race.
