COMM 1 IWITY
Last week at South Huron was a busy and very successful week.
Student Council elections took place as well as the two plays pre-
sented by the drama department.
This year is the first year for a new election process at South Hu-
ron. The only position that is ran for is co -premier and deputy pre-
mier. The rest of the positions are by application. Last week the
Campaigning for Co -premier started on Monday wrapping up on
Friday with speeches and voting. The co -premiers for next year are
Steph Pearson and Eric Glaskin-Clay. By the end of this week the
rest of the council will be announced. Look for the results next
week. With this new process the size of the council is increasing
from eight people to 17 people. There is a lot of work to be done by
Student Council and with this increased number more students can
get involved and there will be less work for each individual. I am
sure this new system will prove to be successful.
On Thursday and Friday night the Drama department present two
plays: 'My Life In Ten Years' and 'Blind Dates'. Both productions
were extremely well done and enjoyed by all who came. Thank you
to all the people who came. Your support is appreciated. Congratu-
lations to everyone who took part in these productions. Everyone
did a great job. Way to go!
