VARNA - Varna -Goshen church
service last Sunday was held in
Varna, led by Rev. Willie Zeigler.
The congregation was favored by
a solo "Fare Thee Well Love" by
Cara Stephenson.
There were two babies baptized
on Sunday. Steven Consitt, son of
Brenda and Scott Consist and Sha-
nia Lynn Schnarr, daughter of
Charlene and Dwight Schnarr. Julia
and Bill Finlay, children of John
and Carol Finlay were also bap-
tized. Rev. Zeigler's sermon was
on "Christian Motherhood."

The Trends Youth Group were
there with their Lego school house
built with over 800 Lego blocks.
They were selling each brick for

Ontario's hottest, driest summer on record.

cinating story of this fathcr-son journey at another community speaker's
night presented by Grand Bend Rotary Club on Thursday May 23, 6:30 at

Davidson will recall the gruelling distances and the killing hills in the
north, the trails and tests of a magnificent mission - all rewarded many -
fold by overwelcoming embraces in every town, the warmth of 50,000 ad-
mirers in Skydome and the standing ovation in the House of Commons.
Not the least of those rousing receptions came in Grand Bend which,
it's been said, contributed more per capita to the Journey than any other
community.
Last November the Journey reached its million -dollar objective, and the
funds are now being administered by The Foundation for Gene and Cell
Therapy.
