Thursday, May 9aad Friday, May 10 the South Huron Drama De-
partment is presenting two plays - 'My Life in Ten Years' and
Blind Dates'. 'Blind Dates' was South Huron's entry in the Sears
Drama Festival. 'My Life in Ten Years' is an original drama by
OAC'student Jenny Ellison.
'My Life in Ten Years' started out as a one scene assignment in
Grade 11 drama and expanded this year into a one -act play for an in-
dependent study in OAC drama. Jenny was inspired to write this
play by a visit to the Muskoka Lakes Association Regatta.' The
themes of this play are childhood, insecurity, sarcasm and individu-
ality. The cast involves three female characters aged 17 to 19. Jillian
Collings, Stephanie Pearson and Barb Day are the stars of the show.
Each character has a certain unanswered question about the present
and future,. dealing with different circumstances. The play is co -
directed by Jenny Ellison and Glenda Burrell, SHDHS drama teach-
er. We hope that everyone will come and support all the work every-
one has done. Tickets are $3 and are available at the school and at
Hallmark.
• Also this week is election week. Parents are welcome to come and
see the speeches that will be on Friday at 9 a.m.
