dance April 12 for

ZURICH - The children in Zurich
enjoyed the Easter Egg Hunt at the
park on Saturday morning, spon-
sored by the Optimist Club.
The Club are organizing a youth
dance at the Community Centre on
Friday, April 12 from 7 to 10 p.tn.
for ages 11 to 15. Admission is
$3.00 at the door.
They are also planning a bingo
on Saturday, April 20, beginning at
7:00 p.m. at the Community Cen-
tre. Proceeds will go to the Chil-
dren's Hospital.
On April 18, the club will be
hosting the District Zone dinner
meeting at the Township Hall with
dinner catered by Jerry Rader.
Girl's Club
The Girl's Club will be meeting
at the Mennonite Church hall on
Thursday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m.
Easter services
Members of the Mennonite
Church enjoyed Easter Brunch on
Sunday in their parish hall follow-
ing the morning service.
St. Peter's Lutheran Church held
a special Easter sunrise service at 7
a.m. with Pastor Ross Thomson.
Members of the United Church
had a sunrise service at Calvary
United Church in Dashwood, fol-
lowed by a breakfast with Rev.
Gani Lazaro.
Women's Mission League
A spring rally was held at the
Zion Lutheran Church in Dash-
wood on Monday evening for the
Women Mission's League.
Guest speaker was Darren Schie-
mann, with the topic "Reflecting
His Love".
Schiemann has recently returned
from Africa, where he worked for
the Lutheran Bible Translators. He
will soon be leaving for Russia.
Scouts
The Boy Scouts and their leaders
enjoyed a trip to Toronto in the
March break: They attended a Rap-
tors baskeJ:_ball game and went to
the C.N.E. Tower.
Agrkultural Society
The next Agricultural Society
Fair Board meeting will be held at
the Township hall .on, Thursday,
April 18' at 8 p.m. with president ••

Ladies Auxiliary
The Ladies Auxiliary meeting
was held at the Rest Home on April

Day's Fashion Show. The models
were Heather, Paul and Heidi
Klopp, Meagan Sweeney and Ma-
ria Mathonia. Donna Klopp chaired
the meeting, opening with the
Lord's Prayer and a moment of si-
lence for one of their deceased
members, Gertie Fleischauer.
Three carnations were brought to
the home by Donna Klopp to wel-
come new residents.
The birthday party will be held
April 18, hosted by the Goshen
United Church women.
There will be a regional meeting
in Stratford at Spruce Lodge on
May 23.
Quilt tickets are available from
Marie Gelinas Sr. and Mary Du-
charme or they can be purchased at
the Home.
Plans are being made for the an-
nual Mother's Day Tea, bake sale
and bazaar on May 11 in the audi-
torium from2 to 3:30 p.m.
Anyone wishing to display their
crafts are welcome to do so by
phoning Donna Klopp at 236-4675
as soon as possible.
The family dinner at the Home is
planned for June 23, when the
Auxiliary will draw on the quilt
tickets. Proceeds will go towards
the bus. •
Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber of Commerce will
be having their next dinner meeting
at the Dominion Tavern on April
16.
Canvass
Members of the Lion's Club will
be canvassing for cancer donations
during the month of April. They
met at the Hotel for dinner and a
meeting on April 10.
CWL
The next C.W.L. meeting at St.
Boniface Parish Hall will be on
Tuesday April 16 with a candle
party demonstration by Janet
McKinnon.
The evening begins at 8 p.m: fol-
lowing Mass at 7:30 p.m.
100th anniversary
Plans are underway for the 100th
anniversary of St. Boniface Parish,
to be celebrated on May 5. Bishop
Sherlock will say a special Mass at
2 p.m. followed by dinner and en-
tertainment at the Zurich Commu-
nity Centre.

The annual fish fry was held at

ard on Good Friday, attended by
their children and families.
An Easter Vigil Mass and cele-
bration of the Resurrection of our
Lord was held at St. Boniface
Church on Saturday night by. Fr.
Wronski. There were six candi-
dates received into the Catholic
faith.
Congratulations to Glenn
McBeath and Angela Alcock who
were married at the White Carna-
tion on Saturday, April 6. The
groom is the son of Doug and
Joyce McBeath, Zurich. Following
their honeymoon in Florida, the
couple will be living in Goderich.
