and fun f'thake
Spend some 'time with your fa-
vorite youngster. Create a nest of
luscious, one -of -a -kind chocolate
easter eggs. They're fun and easy
to make; great to eat and share with
friends.
EASY EASTER EGGS
1 pkg (4 -serving size) Jell -o Instant
Pudding, any flavor
1/3 cup (75m1) boiling water
1/3 cup butter or tnargerine
3 -cups (750n11) icing sugar
6 squares each: White and Semi-
sweet chocolate
Chocolate sprinkles or prepared ic-
ing
Stir pudding, water and butter in
a Targe bowl until smooth.
Mix in icing sugar by cupfuls,
stirring until mixture forms a ball.
Form into 1 1/2 inch (3cm) egg
shapes.
Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight.
To assure chocolate has a rich,
dark, glossy finish that stays hard at
room temperature buy only top
quality, pure chocolate and use a
simple "partial" melting technique.
Chop each square into 8 pieces.
Place in a howl over very hot tap
water -not boiling water. (Do not
use a microwave oven for partial
melting. It is too easy to overheat
the chocolate.) Melt, stirring con-
stantly, until one-third of the choco-
late remains unmelted. Remove the
bowl from over the water and con-
tinue stirring until completely
