On March 17, Pastor Heather
Smith chose to address the topic of
Jesus' visit to the woman at the
well in Samaria. During :the chil-
dren's time, she read a thank you
letter from a sponsored child in
Haiti, Ramone. She asked the chil-
dren to join her in thinking about
running through a hot, dry desert,
and how thirsty everyone would be
before they finally tasted wonder-
ful, cool water. She told them that
Jesus was like a glass of water to
the thirsty.
Lois Wilson sang a lovely solo
entitled "Jesus met the woman at
the Well", accompanied by guest
organist Ellen Graham. Judy Mills
accompanied the hymns on the pia-
no throughout the worship service.
The scripture, Exodus 17:1-7 was
read by Madeline Tasko. Pastor
Smith then performed a monologue
entitled "The woman at the well"
based on scripture from John 4:5-
42, to help everyone understand the
Jesus for the woman. This was fol-
lowed by the hymn "Springs of
Living Water."
