In 1961, the Htttvn Muton organization began with four employees in a
3,200 square foot facility. It was founded on a commitment to deliver high
quality products and genuine value service to area fanners
In 11996, this commitment is stronger than ever with three locations and
a total full-time staff of 68 employees.
The Huron Tractor dealership began 35 years ago under the direction of
partners Harry Winters, Herb Verbeek, Bruce Hasselback, Jack Van Bus-
sell and Earl Long.
Today, in 1996, ownership of Huron Tractor is in its second generation.
The operating partners now are Frank Winters, Peter Hakvoort, John Rud-
derham, Paul Van Oss and Henry Winters.
In the Huron Tractor organization today, 75 percent of the resources,
people and facilities are committed to the after sale support of the products
they sell. Parts Inventories and Service Support are aimed at helping farm-
ers obtain the maximum performance from their John Deere machinery.
Huron Tractor has learned over 35 years that the needs of the farmers
have changed because of changing technology. However, the basics are
the same. Farmers expect high performing reliable products, with good re-
sale, that go to the field and get the job done in our short seasons.
Huron Tractor's preventive maintenance and annual parts stock order
programs have enabled farmers to reduce their operating costs and achieve
greater efficiency in their farming operations. The off-season preventive
maintenance has also provided stable year round employment of a quality
staff.

mitted to newer technologies to help their customers achieve even greater
efficiency. Precision fanning, farm parts ordering and environmental pro-
tection are just a few of the projects that they are working on.
This along with a continuation of hard work, longer store hours, higher
skill level in parts, service and sales personnel will be fundamental in ex-
ceeding the expectations of their customers, The aim of the Huron Tractor
team is to not just meet, but to exceed their customers' expectations.
Huron Tractor will be presenting its annual Farm Industry
Show at the Exeter facility on Friday, February 23 and Sat-
urday, February 24. A 'Time Line" grcph display will high-
light the history of the company with memorabilia including
pictures, newspaper clippings and stories about Huron Trac-
tor's 35 years in business.
