January a busy month for Dining for Seniors EXETER - The cold weather has not stopped the seniors from com- ing out to the dining program. 0 Canada and the special Grace were sung. Faye Skinner welcomed sev- eral visitors. Morley Hall and a group from London attended on January 30 to celebrate Morley's 80th birthday. Keyboard players for January were Jean Hogert, Josie Ryckman, and Wilma Davis. Draw prizes for January were won by Ron Peckham, Don Stuart, Rev. Grant Mills, Karin Rogers, Beatrice Munn, Mary Van Roes - sell, Allen Johns, Erlma Keller, Helen Broderick, Marion Frayne, Len McNaughton, Annie Pack - ham, Maria Bugyra and Lila Broderich. A delightful program was held on January 2 by Marjorie Johns and Jack Haynes. On January 9 a group from Queensway Nursing Home and some friends from Hensel) came to visit and perform. Carol Gascho assisted with the program and singing. Cecile Edgar read a New Year's poem. Audrey Brand sang "Side by Side" and "Amazing Grace". Everyone sang "Smile Awhile". The break and enters included VanDely's on the Square, Zoni's Restaurant, Kingston Street, Circle City gas bar on Hwy. 21, and Foodland on South Street. Private residences were also entered on Bennett Street. A quantity of money and cigarettes were stolen from the businesses and property from the residences included a GT Snow Racer, roller blades, sony discman, binoculars, hockey bag, Cooper ice skates, and a pair of Cooperalls. 'Thefts from vehicles On January 27, 1996 between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. there were several vehicles entered on Queen Street and vicinity. The thieves stole CD players, stereo equipment and several CDs. Some of the stereo equip-. ment stolen was Alpine, also one of the vehicles had the rear window smashed out of it. Break and enter Sometime between January 21 and 28, 1996 unknown persons en- tered a residence on Cameron Street in Bayfield and stole several items from the house. The stolen property included, a VCR, Sanyo, model VHR 5412, Radio Shack telephone, Magnicon stargazer tele- scope, black briefcase, Black and Decker jigsaw, Porter router, Black and Decker chainsaw, and some frozen food. Theft from Neuse There was a part at a residence on Concession 19 of Stephen Town- ship on January 28, 1996. When the guests had left the owner of the house noticed that he was missing a TVC video camera, a Magnovox CD player, and some Hanutterhead darts.
