Christmas party Children are reminded they can see Santa Claus at the Zurich Arena on December 23 at 2 p.m. There will be movies and treats for every- one, sponsored annually by the Li- ons Club. CWL The St. Boniface C.W.L. women held their December birthday party for the residents at the Rest Home on Monday night, December 18. Their church choir entertained with Christmas music, followed by lunch. K of C Members of the K. of C. held their meeting and ladies night Christmas party at the parish hall on Monday, December 18 with a good turnout. Mass Fr. Wronski will have a Mass on December 21 at 6:00 p.m. for the altar servers, followed by a Christ- mas party in the parish hall after- wards. Lions The Lions Club held their Christ- mas dinner and ladies night at the Dominion Tavern on December 13 with a good turnout and their annu- al gift exchange. Pageant A Christmas pageant will be held at the farm of Tom and Jasia Hart- man by grade five to eight students of St. Boniface and St. Peter's Par- ish called "The Christmas Story" which will be held in the barn on December 20. For more informa- tion and time phone, 237-3370. Lights tour There will be a Christmas Lights and Decorations Tour around Hay Township on December 20, $2.00 per person. It will leave from the Zurich Are- na at 6:30 p.m. Phone Glen at 236-4060 to find out if there is still room on the bus. Personals Several families around Zurich began to hold their Christmas din- ners and get-togethers over the weekend at various places. The family of Mary -Lou De- nomme got together at her home on December 17. The children and families of Claude and Madeline Gelinas met for dinner and Christmas party at the Zurich arena on December 16. Best wishes go to Madeline, who was unable to attend, as she is a pa- tient in Sarnia Hospital. The family of John and Bridget Groot Sr. got together at the Hen- sall Arena of Sunday, December 17 for their Christmas dinner and par- ty with about 45 relatives attend- ing. Santa Claus handed out gifts. The Schroeder family and rela- tives, descendants of Evelyn and Ed, enjoyed their annual Christmas turkey dinner with all the trim- mings at the Dominion Tavern on Sunday, December 17. They also celebrated the birth- days of Sandra Desjardine on De- cember 18' and her brother Ken Schroeder on Christmas Day. The families of Dorothy Bedard had their Christmas dinner at the Dominion Tavern on December 17. Glen and Laura Overholt hosted the family Christmas get together for the relatives on his side of the family on December 10 at St. Boni- face Parish Hall. The family of Sharon and Keva Silverstein, London got together for their Christmas dinner and par- ty in Zurich on December 16 at the home of her daughter Rosie and Jeff Rothenberg. A good time was had by Ken and Roxanne Brideau, Zurich, and Ca- thy Overholt and Marc Clausius, Exeter, who recently returned home from a week's vacation in the Dominican Republic. Maria Kenda spent a few days in London last week visiting with her daughter Helena and husband Jack Sumner, and with a friend Lillian. The family of Clem and Theresa Regier and the family of Joe and Rose Regier got together for dinner on Friday night at the Hensall Are- na. Dennis and Lorraine Regier and Joe and Liz Durand, Zurich, along with Pete and Bonnie Regier, Lon- don, recently returned home from a week-long trip to St. Lucia. Krista Schilbe and cousin Kelly Hoffman returned home on Decem- ber 17 after spending four weeks in Queensland, Australia. While there they stayed at the home of Kelly Schofields, the exchange student the Hoffman family hosted in Dashwood for six weeks at this time last year. On Sunday, December 17 Leila Becker's family got together for a delicious Christmas dinner at Erb's Country Kitchen. Afterwards all went to the home of Helen, Patrick and Colleen Ove'tholt for gifts and a social time. Happy birthday wishes go out to Eric Smale on December 15; Bob Johnston on December 23; Laura Gelinas on December 24; and Art Miller on December 26. Those with birthdays on Christmas Day are: Louis Willeri, Ken Schroeder, Doug Masse, Judy Voogel and Ar- chie Masse. The family of George and Maria Mathonia enjoyed their Christmas dinner together on Saturday at Hes- senland. Dan and Jeannette Eybergen of Port Franks returned home recently after spending a couple months in Florida at Plant City. On their way home they visited with son Dan and Carrie Eybergen Jr. in Georgia and attended the Nutcracker Ballet in which grand- daughter Tiffany performed.
