BRUCE PULSIFER - Piano Tuning MITCHELL 348-9223 • DMMJ JWJJ! Huron Centennial Public School students in Brucefield do a westem jig at Santa's shop during their Christmas concert dress rehearsal Monday afternoon. Panther Profile By Anita Wein During the last month at South Huron District High School, the students have been involved in some pretty generous activities. The grade 9 students, along with their Guidance Support Team (GST) members, worked raising money for Sleeping Children Around the World (SCAW). The White Gift Campaign continued for almost two weeks and the whole school contributed. The grade 9, GST combination raised al- most $600. This was enough to buy 20 bed kits. Each class had a different way to raise money including bake sales, parties, game day and other original events. Others used a luxury tax or simply just brought in a set amount. GST and the grade 9 have been doing this fundraiser for the past several years. It has become a tradition that will continue next year. Way cp go grade 9 and GST, you did a great job! The entire school worked together bringing in canned food, toys and money to raise $3,000. The school an a hockey buy-out so the school could support the hockey team and raise money for the White Gift Campaign. Each student had to bring in two cans or $2 to get out of their last period class. I am sure our donations helped a lot. Keep up the great work South Huron. Well, Christmas is fast approaching and South Huron has been in the spirit of giving. On behalf of the student body we wish the com- munity a Merry Christmas!
