Stanley Jay offi- ciant for the Holy Communion Ser- vice and the Sunday School Chil- dren's Christmas Pageant. The processional hymn was "Come Thou Long Expected Jesus". A very exciting guest clown Billy Pickle, alias Liz Jay, gave a won- derful children's focus, comparing Rudolph and his red nose guiding the sleigh at night, and how some people laugh at Christians, but when there is trouble in their lives they come back to Christians, church and God and for us to al- ways remember by coming to church and following the light we know. Rev. Jay told the children that many years ago they used a wagon wheel with the candles, the symbol of light, and that our focus is on the birthday of Christ. Flowers at the altar were given to the Glory of God in fond and loving memory of the late Marguerite Davis Greenlee, who passed away one year ago, De- cember 9 by the Davis families. The children sang the hymn "We are Waiting Lord", folla cd by welcome from the Sunday School Superintendent and teacher Hazel Davis. A beautiful duet followed to open the pageant by Heather Mac- Gillivray and her dad Hugh Davis "From the Manger to the Cross." Courtney MacGillivray read the lesson from the Old Testament Isaiah 35:1-10, followed by a solo "Christmas Tells Me So", by Har- ley Davis. Crystal Davis read the lesson from the New Testament James 5:7-11. Courtney MacGillivray and Crys- tal Davis were servers for the ser- vice and readers for the pageant. Katie -Scarlett MacGillivray read the Magnificat or "Song of Mary" form the prayer book, also portray- ing the angel in the pageant. Joseph and Mary were portrayed by Caleb MacGillivray and Starr Davis, also singing a duet "Jesus Loves Me". Harley and Travis Davis and Corbin MacGillivray portrayed the shepherds with Corbin singing the solo "Away in a Manger." Katie -Scarlett MacGillivray sang the hymn "Silent Night", also play- ing the piano for sister Courtney playing the flute, the hymn "We Three Kings."
