CENTRALIA - Sunday, Decem-
ber 10 was a cold, wintry day in the
Centralia area.
At Centralia United Church, Rev.
Bob Graham performed a solo for
the congregation. Pastor Heather
Smith's sermon was entitled "The
Invitation List".
Church activities
The mitten trees at Zion and Cen-
tralia United Church arc looking
very festive with a wide variety of
colors.
The U.C.W. Christmas meeting
at Centralia was a time of food and
fellowship. The dinner group had
decorated the downstairs with can-
dles and baskets of evergreen and
red apples. They prepared a turkey
casserole for the meal, and mince-
meat and ice cream for dessert. The
program group had organized an
entertaining evening, with carols,
readings, a carol guessing game,
and a skit.
Everyone is invited to attend the
Christmas concerts at Centralia and
Zion. The Centralia Christmas con-
cert will be held Saturday, Decem-
ber 16 at 8:00 p.m. To prepare for
this event, the children will meet at
the church Friday, December 15 at
7:30 p.m. The Christmas concert at
Zion will be Friday, December 22
at 8:00 p.m. and will include a pot-
luck lunch.

Thanks "to the Times
Advocate for the tour
Dear Mr. Beckett:
We would like to thank Mrs. Lord and Mrs. Mir for the tour of the Times
Advocate. We would -like to thank you for showing us all your machines.
We would like to thank Mrs. Lord and Mrs. Mir for answering our ques-
tions. We really enjoyed our visit. I have been waiting for this trip for a
long time.
Yours sincerely, Amanda Yearly
I would like to thank Mrs. Lord and Mrs. Mir for the tour of the Times
Advocate. I really liked the camera that did not need film. I'm happy that
you weren't too busy. It was too bad that the Internet was busy. My fa-
vorite computer was the one that Wes' sister was on. It was interesting that
the Times Advocate was over 100 years old.
Yours sincerely, Kristen Steeper
We would like to thank Mrs. Lord and Mrs. Mir for the tour of the Times
Advocate. I thought the giant camera was neat.
Yours sincerely, Matthew Grotentraast

We would like to thank Mrs. Lord and Mrs. Mir for the tour of the Times
Advocate. I liked the part when we got to get our picture taken. I also liked
the part when we got to see Mr. Brand with hair. I really liked the scanner.
1 liked the jumbo sized camera.
Yours sincerely, John Edwards
We would ike to thank Mrs. Lord and Mrs. Mir for the tour of the Times
Advocate. I really enjoyed it. That camera that has no film in it was really
neat. I have always wanted to know how to make a newspaper. Thank you
for showing me how.
Sincerely, Wes deLange
We would like to thank Mrs. Lord and Mrs. Mir for the tour of the Times
Advocate. Thank you for showing us the new machines, like the camera
that does not need film. My favorite machine is the hoard that lights up.
Maybe I can be an editor when I getolder.
Yours sincerely, Nicole Schwartzentruher
