Mary Peterson CENTRALIA - Sunday, Decem- ber 10 was a cold, wintry day in the Centralia area. At Centralia United Church, Rev. Bob Graham performed a solo for the congregation. Pastor Heather Smith's sermon was entitled "The Invitation List". Church activities The mitten trees at Zion and Cen- tralia United Church arc looking very festive with a wide variety of colors. The U.C.W. Christmas meeting at Centralia was a time of food and fellowship. The dinner group had decorated the downstairs with can- dles and baskets of evergreen and red apples. They prepared a turkey casserole for the meal, and mince- meat and ice cream for dessert. The program group had organized an entertaining evening, with carols, readings, a carol guessing game, and a skit. Everyone is invited to attend the Christmas concerts at Centralia and Zion. The Centralia Christmas con- cert will be held Saturday, Decem- ber 16 at 8:00 p.m. To prepare for this event, the children will meet at the church Friday, December 15 at 7:30 p.m. The Christmas concert at Zion will be Friday, December 22 at 8:00 p.m. and will include a pot- luck lunch.
