Customers are invited to drop by for free coffee and cook- ies and to take a look at items most normally available at the post of- fice. Letters to Santa Children will be interested to know they can drop off their letters to Santa Claus at the Hensall Post Office. Santa's address is: Santa Claus, North Pole, HOH OHO, Canada. To ensure a speedy reply, children should include their name and return address on both letter and envelope. Children living on a rural route should include their par- ent's name to help Santa deliver his letters as quickly as possible. Christmas trees The Boy Scouts will be selling Christmas trees at Ken Clarke's house at 108 Queen Street. Pine, spruce and balsam are available at $20 each. Presbyterian church news Communion will be observed at Carmel Presbyterian Church, De- cember 3. P.C.W. of Carmel Church will meet at 7 p.m. December 4. This will be their potluck dinner. The guest speaker will be Rev. Dan Roushorne. Horticultural Society Hensall and District Horticulture Society met last Monday for their Christmas meeting. A potluck sup- • per was enjoyed followed by Susan Hartman relating just what the lo- cal library has to interest gardeners. Susan was thanked by Liz Sang- ster. Ann Overweel, president, chaired the meeting for a short business session. Six lucky people went home with a Christmas plant. United church news Communion was celebrated at Hensall United Church. Rev. Hen- ry Annen's message was "Christ the King". The children sang "Kum Ba Yah". Their special story was "A Shoe Box Gift". A Communion hymn was sung with Doug Klopp providing music for the ministry of song. The greeters were Debbie and Pete Timmerman. Raye Jacobe and Doug Kyle were the ushers. The Women were thanked for dec- orating the church. The official board will meet De- cember 13. The Junior choir prac- tice Wednesdays after school. The Senior Choir will meet Friday at 7 p.m. At Benmiller United Church on Saturday, December 9, at 7:30 the Induction Service for Sharon Wurm will be held. George Cowan will be the guest speaker.
