McFALLS - In British Columbia, on No-
vember 12, 1995, Elmer A. McFalls in his
63rd year. He is survived by four daughters,
Heather, Kimberley, Francine and Sandra.
Also a brother Bill and sister Donna Patter-
son. He was predeceased by an infant daugh-
ter and his parents Garnet and Velma
McFalls. Crenation took place in British
Columbia. There will be a memorial service
and interment at Exeter Cemetery at a later
date. 46'
SMILLIE - Dr. Ivan Gray Smillie, released
from lengthy illness November 8, 1995 at
Kamloops. B.C. in his 9Ist year. Dr. Smillie
was born, raised and practiced medicine in
Hensall, Ontario. He moved to Kamloops,
B.C. in 1942 where he had an active medical
practice and anaesthesiology. He was coro-
ner of Yale County 1947 to 1977. He retired
in 1970 and became Medical Officer for the
Kamloops Correctional Institute until 1985
when he suffered a severe stroke. Survived
by his wife Aimee (married 57 years),
daughter Inez, son Bob. daughter-in-law
Gail. grandchildren Lisa, Tracey and Ryan.
Predeceased by his father Alexander Smillie.
mother Agnes and brothers Stewart and
Murray Smillie. A private funeral was held
on Saturday. November 11, 1995 at his
son's home, Dr. Bob Smillie. in Kamloops.

THIEL - At the Bluewater Rest Home, Zu-
rich, on November 7, 1995, Mrs. Alice
Louise (Lawson) Thiel, in her 78th year. Be-
loved wife of Stewart Thiel of the Bluewater
Rest Home, Dear mother of Eunice and her
husband Douglas Taylor of Brucefield, Ge-
rald and his wife Diane Thiel, Kenneth and
his wife Donna Thiel and Hubert and his
wife Mary Thiel, all of Zurich. Dear sister of
Alma Jackson of Chatham and Lenore and
her husband Rod Ellis of Vernon, B.C. Pre-
deceased by 3 sisters Mrs. Merle Prest, Mrs.
Irene Rader. Mrs. Marjorie Arthur and 1
brother Samuel Lawson and 1 son Ronald
Thiel. by I daughter-in-law Mary (Kennedy)
Thiel and 1 grandson Steven Thiel. Also sur-
viving are 12 grandchildren and 3 great
grandchildren and several nieces and neph-
ews. Visitation in the Zurich Chapel of Mi-
chael P. O'Connor Funeral Homes. then to
St. Peter's Lutheran Church where the funer-
al service was conducted on November 9
with Pastor Ross Thomson officiating. Inter-
ment in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Ceme-
tery. As expressions of sympathy donations
to the Alzheimer's Society or St. Peter's Lu-

ing her time of illness. Thank you to our

words and prayers and also to the MacKen-

much time with her at home and to our im-
