Doris Miller hosted the recycling
meeting of the Staffa Women's In-
stitute at her home in Exeter on
Wednesday, October 25 at 1:30
p.m.
Guest speaker for the afternoon
was Audrey McFalls, Lucan, a self-
taught recycler. She gave many tips
on recycling and reminded us to
save labels, pop tabs, grocery tapes
etc. She also told us that Canadians
were the worse polluters in the
world. McFalls las introduced by
Doris Miller and thanked by Verle
Mahan.
President Joyce Miller presided
opening with the Institute Ode and
Mary Stewart Collect. Minutes
were read and approved and invita-
tions to upcoming events were read
and thank you from the Erland Lee
Home.
Eight members and one visitor
answered the roll call by naming
something they recycled. Roberta
Templeman reported on the Lon-
don Area Convention remarking
how the London Area President
Doiofes Stilapton had compared the
Womens Institute organization to a
patchwork quilt in her address.

conducted a very fitting "in me-
moriam" for the late Orpha Norris,
a life member of Staffa W.I. Joyce
Miller closed the meeting and
lunch was served by Doris Miller
and Roberta Templeman.

The Ministry of the Solicitor General and Correctional
Services seeks applicants to fill one vacancy on the Exeter
Police Services Board.
The Police Services Board advises the local Ontario Provincial
Police service. The three-member board meets once a month
and members are required to attend other related meetings,
training sessions and conferences. A small honorarium is
given to each appointed member.
Candidates should have an understanding of policing issues,
experience in policy making and budgeting, some volunteer
involvement in community organizations, and knowledge of
the Exeter Community.
Any resident of the Town of Exeter interested In serving as a
provincially appointed member of the Exeter Police Services

Testament 2 Timothy 4: 6-18, 16-
18, was read by Ruth Ann Osgood.
Rev. Allsop read from the Gospel
of Luke 18: 99-14. The title of his
sermon was "Righteousness is Not
Enough". Rev. Allsop prayed for
Quebecs referendum and we sang
the closing hymn "Savior Again to
the Dear Name" and "0 Canada"!
