MacNaughton Park update
EXETER - Flower bulbs have
been planted in MacNaughton
Park during the last two weeks
and should make a beautiful dis-
play next spring. The lights were
turned on in the Park on Friday,
October 13 and will be on every
night from dusk to 11:00 p.m.
There is still one light to be in-
stalled and quitea number of
names to be sand blasted into the
walkway.
Three hundred and fifty-eight
walkway paving stones have been
purchased. Fortunately, for those
people who have been talking
about purchasing a stone, but
have not done so yet, it is not too
late. There are still 99 $100
stones, 12 $500 stones and six
$1,000 stones available.
A loved one's name carved in
the Park Walkway makes a very
thoughtful and much appreciated
gift for any occasion.

Capsule Comments
with Ernie Miatello
It would be nice to have an "anti -aging' pill. The
closest we have to that today Is a regular program
of aerobic exercises. Positive effects Include lower I
blood pressure and Increased bone mass, plus burning off more calo-
ries. The end result Is better health and reduced risk of early death.
Only 9% of persons over 65 du some form of regular exercise. It's been
proven that sedentary people run twice the risk of heart disease as ac-
tive people. If you haven't started a regular exercise program, check
with your doctor and start soon.
For some persons, shopping Is as strong an addiction as alcohol or
smoking. Researchers are testing an antidepressant drug that Is quite
effective In controlling those shopping urges. A University of Iowa re-
search trial showed 90% improvement of thls very real addiction.
Women's bodies are more sensitive to alcohol than men's. Women'9
bodies contain more fat than water so there Is less liquid with which to
dilute the alcohol. This results In possibly more liver and brain damage,
Women also break down alcohol more slowly allowing effects to Unger
longer.
