The field hockey team has continued their winning ways again this season. Field hockey team wins back to back tournaments Goalie Amanda Glavin shuts out seven teams for Panthers SCARBOROUGH - Last Sat- urday the South Huron Field Hock- ey team participated in the Scar- borough Tournament defeating six teams to win the gold medal. The Panthers beat Lorne Park 3-1 in the final after a shootout was needed to decide the game which had already gone into double over- time. Kim Farquhar, Cara Gardner and Shawna Rowe scored for South Hu - ton while goalie Amanda Glavin thwarted the Lorne Park strikers with a solid performance in net. A shootout was also needed to decide the semi-final game after they tied Agincourt I-1 in regu- lation time. Jaclyn Baynham and Gardner teamed up to win the shootout for South Huron 2-1. In pool play, the Panthers de- feated Humberviey, 2-0, Sir J.McDonald 1-0, Markville 1-0 and Bishop Strachan 2-0 with goals by Farquhar, Rowe, Gardner and Da- nielle Miners. On Sunday, South Huron shutout four teams to win the Toronto An- nual Schoolgirls Tournajnent. The Panthers defeated teams from Ot tawa, Bancroft. Peterborough and Toronto getting goals from Miners. Farquhar. Gardner. Lori Richard- son, Kelly Dayman and Kim Tay- lor. Goalie Amanda Hodgcrt recorded one shutout while Glavin earned the other three.
