Hay Days '96
deliver
calendars
HAY TOWNSHIP - Members of
"Hay Days '96" planning commit-
tee and Township Councillors
have begun to deliver 15 month
keepsake calendars to Hay Town-
ship ratepayers. The calendar will
serve as a reminder of all of the
exciting events planned for the up-
coming year.
it was produced by the "Hay
Days '96" promotion committee,
courtesy of the Township of Hay.
The time and energy put into the
wonderful historical sketches was
generously donated by Dr. Garnet
Leitch and his work is much ap-
preciated!
Each township household will
receive one calendar free of
charge. if more are required, or if
anyone else would like to obtain
them for their home or as gifts,
etc., they are available at the Hay
Township office for $5. each.

The setting Sunday afternoon, for
a Tupperware .bridal shower for
Victoria Poole, of Stratford, fiancee
of Clark Adams, was at the home
of Don and Elizabeth Adams. The
hostess was Dianne Adams, of Lon-
don. Relatives attended from To-
ronto, Stratford, London, Hensall
and Exeter. The group enjoyed sev-
eral fun games. Lunch and refresh-
ments were served by Diane and
Elizabeth. The couple plan an early
November wedding. Tupperware
demonstrator was Shari Parker of
London.
About 20 people attended a mis-
cellaneous bridal shower held last
Saturday evening for Angela Ziel-
man at the Zurich Mennonite
church. Hostesses were Mary Ellen
Zielman, Ruth Zehr, Debbie Ward
and Lorene Zehr. Presenting gifts
were Angela's three nieces Aman-
da and Anneka Zchr and Emily
Zielman. Angela is' bride -elect of
mid-October.
Personals
Dr. Judith Brigham of Louisville,
Kentucky, who spent summer holi-
days at their family cottage in
Grand Bend, also visited several
friends in the Shipka area before
she returned home.

er, and Melvin and Gertie Stade,
travelled to Troy, Michigan, to vis-
it Harvey Schroeder, a cousin of
Mjrjorie's. Harvey was bone in
Dashwood and worked for Mel -
vin's parents, Bill and Flossie
Stade, when he was 16 and Melvin
was a baby. Harvey is now 96, able
to walk quite well, with a keen
memory of things that happened
while employed at Stades. After a
visit at Harvey's home, they all
travelled over to Sterling Heights
to visit Harvey's sister, Mildred
Goodman, who resides in the
Nightingale Nursing Home.
Harvey and Mildred are a son
and daughter of the late Charlie
and Mary Schroeder, who farmed
many years east of Crediton. They
all enjoyed the visit. Harvey spends
his winter in California.
The Frtedsburg Days Committee
in Dashwood donated $3,500 to
various community groups on
Wednesday. A portion of the
money will go towards new wel-
come signs for Dashwood. Back
