Parade is one
of biggest in
many years

Aleck Smith, from St Marys, shows off a 192$ "speed jack." Powered by a three
horse gas engine, the contraption was used to lift the front ends of wagons to unload
their cargos. Smith had 11 antique pieces of farm machinery on display. The oldest
was an 1860 John Deere shovel used to dig trenches.
