Women's
soccer
season over
EXETER - The Exeter Women's
soccer team played their last home
game of the season on Thursday
losing to Panhallenic from London
2-1.
London opened the scoring in
the first minute of the game with
an unanswered goal. Exeter came
hack when Rosie Flannagan car-
ried the ball from the defensive
zone and passed it off to right
winger Robyn Carnochan who
then chipped it in the middle to
Cindy More. Moore made no mis-
take on the play blasting a shot
past the London goalie to even the
game at one.
Exeter continued to dominate the
game as the London team were
playing•short handed only dress-
ing nine players for the game.
However, Exeter couldn't capital-
ize on the extra player advantage
and they let London score the go
ahead goal in the second half.
Despite the two short handed
goals, the defense played a strong
game hacked up by Jenny Ware-
ham and Kristen Thompson.
The women's team will finish the
season with a 3-1-10, win/tic /loss
record and will not make the
playoffs.
Head coach Greig Archibald said
he noticed a significant improve-
ment over the team this season and
with a large number of returning
players he expects to have a
stronger team next year.
"I'm looking forward to next sea-
son. We will he starting where we
left off," said Archibald.
